The day started with rain and horrible grey skies here in Montgomery first thing, but it soon cleared and now it's bright sunshine, much nicer i'd say and certainly better for my walk soon.
It's been an intense week or so here with lots going on. The workshops development is steadily progressing in the background and i've even managed the odd creative hour here and there too. These cute little 'Boro' rings i managed in the shop last week, they were fun to do and there were lots of nice comments from customers and requests for them to be in the shop, which i hope to do soon.
I also managed to spend a bit of time on my stitch sketchbook, playing about with colours

I also love red thread but try to move away from it now and then...yellows and mustards work well on this plain vintage fabric too.
Saturday was spent with my gorgeous dear friend Nichola Hulmston of Ninneynoo, at the Selvedge Fair and SIT Textile fair in Stroud. It was great fun. We met up with the very lovely Christine Kelly of Gentlework and Kathleen Murphy of Murgatroyd and Bean and the Daphne's Glove project as well as other artists, Alix Swann and Annie Hutchinson. It was such an amazing day.

and a white vintage shirt (in the background, to embroider) from one of the many vintage shops we were constantly distracted by whilst walking around stroud!
I relaxed when i got home practicing my knitting, it's getting better, especially with the beautiful wool kindly given to me by my dear friend Diane Tinker-Foster.
The week before i had a superb day with my 'Thrupenny' friends here in Monty, where they all trudged to give much needed help and advice on the workshop space, i felt so much better after talking to them.
These gorgeous pictures are Karen Grenfell's of MimiLove Forever and i couldn't resist them, her paintings and stitchings are truly beautiful.
And a beautiful box soldered by Diane Tinker Foster - Diane will be doing a workshop with me sometime next year.
New cupboard in shop
I'm trying to get hubby to part with it for the workshop rooms, but he's not having any of it. I love it so much.
I have the whole day off today and have decided to rest and enjoy myself, no painting, no decorating, just some gentle creating.
